Why Balms?
Most cosmetic creams and lotions are made up of up to 70% water, compared to 0% in balms.
Balms offer a potent base and delivery system for higher quantities of therapeutic plant compounds, (many of which are oil-soluble), and remain a revered therapeutic option in traditional herbal medicine.
Simple, natural ingredients of balms such as rich oils and butters, are easily absorbed into the skin, making them gentle, yet highly effective.
Plant scents, such as essential oils, are captured and retained for longer.
Why For Us?
Balms allow us to formulate and customise high quality, purposeful skincare and therapeutic remedies using the remarkable power of plants.
Blending modern scientific research and extraction techniques with ancient herbal wisdom, our balms can be elevated to the forefront of premium natural skincare.
Using our own research and development, we are introducing a unique range of rare and threatened Tasmanian plants into the therapeutic sphere within our products, promoting both education and conservation.
Kind Words…..
We pay our deep respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work, the Pydarerme people of Turrakana Country. We acknowledge, and are personally inspired by, their full and enduring connection to land, waters and culture, and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
